Clipboard Functionality – what is this used for


The Clipboard functionality within the software is used to assign items to other items within the Admin Smart Tile.  Users will need to use the Clipboard functionality for the following set up within the system:

  • Assigning ‘Skills’ to groups of staff
  • Assigning additional working ‘Locations’ to staff or groups of staff (‘Locations’ in addition to their ‘Principal Site’).
  • Assigning additional ‘Access Roles’ (user types) to staff or groups of staff (‘Access Roles’ in addition to the ‘User type’ assigned on their staff member record).
  • Assigning staff or groups of staff to a ‘Holiday Group’.
  • Assigning staff or groups of staff to a ‘Pattern Group’.

Please note: If a user wishes to assign a group of staff to an item, the method for doing this is to assign the principal site of these staff to a Clipboard and the system will then assign the item to any staff member with this principal site chosen and active on their staff record.
