Assigning a single item to multiple staff members using the ‘Clipboards’ functionality
Follow the below steps to assign a single item (in this example a skill) to multiple staff members using the clipboards:
Step 1– Select relevant ‘Skill’ record anywhere in the box apart from the name or icon until you see a blue tick in the top right hand corner.

Step 2- Click the orange cross in the bottom left hand corner and select 'New Clipboard'

Step 3– In the ‘Add New Clipboard’ pop up box enter the name of the ‘Clipboard’ being created in the ‘‘Clipboard’ Name’ field as it is required to appear in the ‘Admin’ screen, followed by selecting ‘OK’.
Users can select cancel if they no longer wish to continue with creating the clipboard.

Step 4 – Select the ‘Location’ that is the Principal Site of all the staff members who require this ‘Skill’ and drag and drop it onto the ‘New Clipboard’ (created in step 2).


Step 5– Select the ‘Start Date’ and ‘End Date’ that you would like the ‘Skill(s)’ (or alternative data) to be assigned to the staff members with the ‘Principal Site’ of the ‘Location’ selected.
HANDY HINT: If staff members should be considered qualified for this ‘Skill’ in all areas of the business, ensure you select ‘All Locations’ in step 5. If for example, they can only be considered qualified to be a “cleaner” or engineer” within a particular department, ensure you select that department as the ‘Location’ in step 5.
Step 6– Select the ‘Location’ that the staff members should be considered qualified for in relation to this skill.

Step 7– Select ‘OK’ to assign the skill(s) to the staff members.
Once data has been assigned using ‘Clipboards’, ‘Clipboards’ can be deleted if required from the ‘Admin’ screen or can remain to use in future when assigning items to staff records. Deleting a previously used ‘Clipboard’ will not remove the data that was assigned to staff members at the time of operation.
Users can select ‘Cancel’ if they no longer wish to continue with assigning the location(s) to the staff member.
