Contracts – what are they used for?
The ‘Contract’ icon allows the user to view, amend or create ‘Contracts’. These ‘Contracts’ will appear in the drop -down menu on staff member records within the ‘Contract’ tab and are used to calculate how much allowance should be deducted from staff when making leave, or absence bookings, and how much allowance they are entitled to for defined ‘Absence Types’ for a leave period (year) within the system. An FTE figure can also be assigned to a ‘Contract’, to enable the system to calculate the FTE figure for staff members working on a part-time basis.
Please note: Staff members must be assigned a ‘Contract’ to allow absences to be booked on their record.
