Adding an employee directly onto the rota
Please follow the below steps on how to add an employee directly onto the rota
Step 1
Open the Management tab from the main navigation menu then open the Rota.
There is now an Add employee to rota icon which is situated above the first employee within the rota.

Step 2
This functionality will allow a user to view an employee on the rota by adding an employee from one location to another. The user will need to be at the chosen location where they want to view the employee to add them to it.
When the user clicks on the Add employee to rota icon a pop up will show in the middle of the screen.

Step 3
The user can search for the employee using the Search field. You can type in the first 3 letters of the employee and they will appear to be selected.

Step 4
The user can enter the From Date, this is the date that the employee will show from. The To Date is the date that the employee will show on the rota till. Once the dates have been entered the user can either Add the employee to the rota or they can Add & Close. If the user chooses to Add & Close, the employee will be added to the bottom of the rota and the pop up will automatically close. Please Note: Once the rota has been refreshed the employee will show in the rota in alphabetical order and no longer show at the bottom.

If the user chooses to Add the the employee the pop up will remain so another employee can be added to the same location. Once Add has been clicked a banner will show saying 'Employee added to rota' so the user knows they've been added. The user can now continue to add employees to the rota.

Please Note: If the employee has shifts at a different location they will show on the new location in a red box to indicate that the shifts belong to a different location.


Step 5
If there's a employee who needs to be added to another location and won't be moving from there, there's an Open Ended checkbox that be ticked. If the user ticks this box, the employee will be added to the location until the year 2099. The user will only need to enter a From Date when ticking the Open Ended checkbox and the To Date will no longer show.
