My Absences
My Absences allows you to monitor the status of your leave requests, request an absence (annual leave or lieu time, for example) and request to cancel absences. You can also view the remaining balances for different absence types and leave periods (years), as well as report on any absences booked for them within the system.
To access My Absences, follow these steps:
1: Select Self-Service

2: Select My Absences

Once you have selected My Absences, the screen will load with the current month by default
3: Use the Start Date field to select a different month if needed

NB - Users can choose how they wish to view absences by selecting one of the options from the View menu.
The options are as follows:
How To Request An Absence
- Click on Add Absence

- Select Absence Type from the drop menu

- Select a full day or half day absence from Duration drop menu if required

- Enter the Start Date, End Date and a Comment if you wish

- Click on Request Absence button

- If you wish to submit this request select OK, if you change your mind you can select Cancel

HANDY HINT - If your employer requires management approval for an absence you will receive this message. Your holiday is not booked until the Manager approves it.

Absence Details
To view details of an absence on a day:
- Select the date and the view will expand below the calendar

- Select the absence from the expanded menu. The Absence Details screen will open with the absence type (i.e., Holiday Days or Lieu)., date and option to cancel the absence if the absence is not in the past.

Summary tab
Users can view a summary of their absences including remaining balance of all absence types, status of absence requests and cancel absences from this screen.

Change the options and select Go to return desired results
