Assigning a single item to a single staff member using the Clipboards functionality
Assigning a single item to a single staff member using the Clipboards functionality. Follow the below steps to assign a single item to a staff member using the clipboards:
Step 1 – From the staff admin screen find the staff member you are adding to a clipboard

Step 2- Click anywhere in the box apart from on the person's name so the blue tick box appears in the top right hand corner

Step 3- Click the orange plus button in the bottom left hand corner and select 'New Clipboard'

Step 4- Enter a name into 'New Clipboard'

Users can select cancel if they no longer wish to continue with creating the Clipboard.
Step 5 – From 'Location Admin' select the location that will be added to the staff member, ensuring the blue tick box has been selected
Step 6- Once the location has the blue tick box selected, click on the name in the clipboard

Step 7- Select the ‘Start Date’ and ‘End Date’ for the ‘Location(s)’ (or alternative data) to be assigned to the staff member.
Step 8- Checking that the correct staff member and location are in the clipboard, select 'OK' to save or 'Cancel' to go back
Step 9- Click on the staff member in the 'Clipboard' and open their record to view their details
HANDY HINT: If the end date of this allocation does not need monitoring or will not expire, use the end date of 31/12/2099 in order that the system does not monitor its expiry.
Users can select cancel if they no longer wish to continue with assigning the location(s) to the staff member.
Once data has been assigned using Clipboards, Clipboards can be deleted if required from the ‘Admin’ screen or can remain to use in future when assigning items to staff records. Deleting a previously used ‘Clipboard’ will not remove the data that was assigned to staff members at the time of operation.
