Step 4– Select ‘OK’ to assign the ‘Primary Reason’ to this ‘Absence Type’.

Step 5 – Select ‘OK’ to assign the ‘Primary Reason’ to this ‘Absence Type’.
The tab will then display the ‘Primary Reason’ as follows

HANDY HINT: If you wish to remove the ‘Primary Reason’ as an option to select when users make absence bookings using this ‘Absence Type’, you can use the delete button to delete it. This will mean it can no longer be selected when making an absence booking using this type. Any existing bookings that used this ‘Primary Reason’ will not be modified, and users will still be able to see the original ‘Primary Reason’ associated to existing bookings both on the booking and in reporting, however it will not be available for any future bookings. Any ‘Primary Reasons’ that are deleted that have ‘Secondary Reasons’ attached will mean that the ‘Secondary Reasons’ are also removed.
