Shift Times
Shift Times are the regular times which are used to create shifts on the rota and schedule staff for work. You will need to create those shifts worked by staff on a regular pattern to prepare their rota using the "Shift Time" functionality. These will need to be created prior to creating any rotas or using the "Pattern Management" functionality. Shift Times must be assigned a location in the hierarchy so that all users in the same branch of the hierarchy, either above or below it, will have access to it for rostering, in accordance with the location they are assigned on their access role (user type). Shift Times will be given a category, e.g., mandated or availability, for the system to recognise the shift as either a working shift to use when generating rotas or as availability for staff to set on their self-service logins. The name given to the Shift Times will be how this shift appears on the rota to the user when it has been added to a member of staff as a shift. All Shift Times must be given a start and end time, and the duration of the shift will auto-populate in the Shift Times record based on the start and end time, unless amended by the user.
